PrEP is a once a day pill that can lower your risk for contracting HIV. Studies have shown that use of PrEP and condoms lowers your likelihood of contacting HIV by 90%.
What is PrEP? PrEP is often referred to as its name of Truvada® or Descovy®.
Everyone should consider PrEP. PrEP has been shown effective and most useful to those who:
- Have an HIV+ partner
- Have had an STI within the last six months
- Have not consistently used condoms
- Are doing sex work
- Have started PrEP previously
- Use drugs or alcohol
- Have had more than one sex partner

Insured or not, there are resources available to help cover the cost of PrEP medications. Our team will work with you to navigate options in covering the cost of your care.
We are a Federally Qualified Community Health Center, providing whole person wellness to 12,000 patients in Central Ohio at six locations. Our patients have access to primary care, behavioral health, MAT addiction treatment, nutrition, vision and dental. Services are provided regardless of ability to pay. Sliding fees are available for those who qualify.
