Provider Change Notification

Dear Valued Patient,

Thank you for choosing to receive your care at Lower Lights Health. We know that patients have many options to choose from and we value your partnership. Continuity of care, access, and relationships are core to our mission. We do need to let you know that Karen Barnhart, ANP will be moving on from Lower Lights this spring. While we are grateful for Karen’s service to you and our other patients, we’re very pleased to introduce you to a new medical provider who will see you on future visits to our Health Center and Franklinton Central locations. Our goal is to continue your care with the least amount of interruption. Your new medical provider is Kari Barrows, FNP.

We’d like to share some information about Kari Barrows’ experience and vision for patient care:

Education: Ohio State University College of Nursing: Master of Science in Nursing. Taylor University Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Awards/Certifications: Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP), AANP Certified

Professional Background: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner with LLCHC and Mary Rutan Hospital Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.

Personal Statement: My first job out of graduate school was with LLCHC, and I am so excited to rejoin the team here. I am deeply committed to providing excellent, evidence based, and whole person care to every patient I see. I believe that small changes can lead to big results for patients, and I love to work with patients to see what changes they can make to reach their health goals. While we may approach the different parts of the body as unique systems, they are all interconnected. Wondering if your headaches, joint pain and bloating are all related? I would love to explore this with you!

During the evaluation with Kari, you will spend time reviewing your history and current medications. She wants to understand your medical background to determine the best therapy for each medical concern you might have.

Please call us at (614) 274-1455 to schedule an appointment with Kari Barrows if you do not already have one scheduled, and do not hesitate to use our Walk-In Provider at the Health Center (1160 W. Broad St.) as needed.
