The Board of Directors of Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC) proudly announces the appointment of Anton Johnson as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Johnson, who has served as Interim CEO since May 2025, was officially selected following a thorough search for the absolute best candidate.
“Following a comprehensive national search, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Anton Johnson as Chief Executive Officer of Lower Lights Christian Health Center,’ said Steffan J. Moody, Chair of the LLCHC Board of Directors. ‘Anton emerged as the clear choice among a competitive field of candidates, bringing a deep understanding of our faith-based mission and a proven track record of operational excellence as Chief Operating Officer. We are confident in his ability to lead our organization into its next chapter of compassionate, community-centered care.”
Johnson first joined Lower Lights Health in 2023. He brought over 15 years of experience in driving organizational transformation, enhancing patient care, and fostering community engagement to the role of Chief Operating Officer. During his time as Interim CEO, he has successfully strengthened partnerships, improved operational efficiency, and continued advancing the organization’s mission to provide whole-person, affordable, high-quality healthcare for all, regardless of income, insurance, or background.
Under his leadership, Lower Lights Health achieved several key milestones, including the fundraising success of the 2025 Building Health, Empowering Community Breakfast. Johnson also helped oversee the ongoing development of the organization’s new Northland location, set to open in January 2026, which will expand access to care for underserved (cut this) families in Northeast Columbus.
“For nearly 25 years, Lower Lights Health has stood as a pillar of hope and healing in Central Ohio — delivering quality, affordable, and whole-person care to thousands,” said Anton, Chief Executive Officer of Lower Lights Health. “I’m deeply honored to continue leading this sacred mission. Together, we’ll build on our legacy, expand our reach, and touch even more lives in the years ahead. It’s truly a privilege to lead in such a time as this.”
