On October 7, Lower Lights Health staff, providers, and supporters all gathered together for the Building Health, Empowering Community Breakfast at The Boat House—and what an incredible morning it was!

From the first cup of coffee to the last round of applause, every speaker and attendee brought their inspiration, connection, and purpose to the occasion. More than 260 attendees joined us to celebrate the mission of Lower Lights Health and the stories of transformation happening every day across our communities. Together, we raised $84,000! This will further our mission of providing whole-person, affordable, high-quality healthcare for all, regardless of income, insurance, or background.

A Morning of Stories and Impact

Our emcee, Matt Barnes of NBC4, led the morning with warmth and energy, setting the tone for a program that reminded us all why we do this work. Guests heard meaningful stories from Doctor Alan Bock and saw the debut of two powerful new videos: one about our Nurse Practitioner Erica Butler and another about her patient, Martha Wood. Martha’s life has been forever changed by Lower Lights Health’s holistic approach to healthcare, enabling her to teach third grade and overcome ailments that had affected her for years.

We also had the honor of presenting Former Ohio First Lady Karen Kasich and AndHealth Senior Vice President Tracy Cloud the Whole Person Hero Award for 2025. Their contributions have made a powerful difference in the lives of Lower Lights Health’s patients and providers. From the stories shared to the awards presented to two of our most accomplished supporters, all of these moments reflected the compassion and dedication that drive our team forward.

Gratitude to Our Sponsors and Partners

This event would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our sponsors and community partners, seen above. Your belief in our mission helps us expand access to care and continue growing programs that meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our patients.

We also extend our deepest thanks to our speakers: Matt Barnes from NBC4, Board Chair Steffan J. Moody, Dr. Alan Bock, and Interim CEO Anton Johnson. Their words reminded us of the resilience and beauty that emerge when a community comes together around healing and hope.

We also simply must thank our silent action sponsors, who donated incredible art, goods, and experiences. Their contributions helped make this event one of our most successful ever and we remain incredibly grateful for their generosity.

And to every attendee, volunteer, and team member—thank you. Your presence, enthusiasm, and support made this year’s breakfast one of our most impactful yet!

Looking Ahead

Because of your support, we are better equipped to continue serving our neighbors across Central Ohio—and to expand our reach even further. Funds raised from this event will directly support patient care, community health programs, and the opening of our new Northland location in January 2026, which will bring accessible healthcare to even more families in need.

As we look ahead, we carry with us the spirit of the Building Health, Empowering Community Breakfast: one of unity, gratitude, and purpose. Together, we are creating a healthier Central Ohio with one patient, one story, and one act of compassion at a time.

From all of us at Lower Lights Health, thank you for believing in this mission and for being part of this incredible event.
