After 44 years of practice and nearly 7 years of providing quality patient care with Lower Lights Christian Health Center, Dr. Terresa Hawthorne is retiring as a Staff Physician effective, August 30th. We are excited to announce that Delica Butler, CNP will be joining our practice in September and will be taking over as the treating provider for Dr. Hawthorne’s patients. Delica is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science degree in Nursing, specializing in Family Medicine from Walden University. Additionally, Delica is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and is licensed in the State of Ohio. Please join us in wishing the best to Dr. Hawthorne in her retirement and in welcoming Delica to our Lower Lights family of providers! Below, is a special note introducing, Delica Butler, CNP:

Delica Butler, CNP is originally from Columbus, Ohio, and attended Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio. She received her associate’s degree in nursing and began working as a Pediatric Registered Nurse at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She continued her education by obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. While working on the MedSurg/Bariatric Unit at Mount Carmel West hospital and Children’s Hospital, Delica completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialty in Family Practice from Walden University. Delica is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed in the state of Ohio. She has over 14 years of healthcare experience and has been working for seven years as a nurse practitioner in the settings of Pain Management, Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Regenerative Medicine.

She focuses her attention on educating each patient in preventative therapies to promote health and wellness in every aspect of life. Delica resides in the central Ohio area with her husband Jonathan, two boys, and little girl. Faith, family time, traveling, gardening, and music are what she finds most enjoyable. She is very excited to help care for the patients of Lower Lights Christian Health Center and is proud to work with such a fantastic team of practitioners.

During the evaluation with your new provider, you will spend time reviewing your history and current medications. Delica wants to understand your medical background to determine the best therapy for each medical concern you might have.

If you have not enrolled in MyChart, please consider doing so to virtually schedule appointments, communicate with your provider, and submit prescription refill requests.
