Respiratory Season Is Here: Protect Yourself and Your Community

As respiratory season approaches, Lower Lights Health encourages everyone to take simple steps towards protecting themselves, their families, and our community from respiratory illnesses.

Flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines are available for eligible patients, and we encourage you to talk with your Lower Lights care team about which vaccinations are recommended for you and your family.

Vaccination Is an Important Part of Prevention

Vaccination can help reduce the risk of serious illness from respiratory viruses and is an important part of staying healthy throughout the respiratory season. Beginning September 28, Lower Lights Health can offer Flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccinations for our patients!

If you’re not sure whether you’re due for a vaccine or which vaccines are recommended for you, ask your care team! They can help you understand your options based on your individual healthcare needs and background.

Masks Help Protect Our Community

Vaccinations aren’t the only way we can help protect one another during respiratory season! We encourage the wearing of masks for patients experiencing respiratory symptoms, such as coughing, congestion, a runny nose, or other signs of illness. Wearing a mask when you’re sick can help greatly reduce the spread of respiratory viruses and keep others in our community healthy.

If you’re experiencing respiratory symptoms, please consider wearing a mask when visiting a Lower Lights Health location.

Small Steps Can Make a Difference

Respiratory season affects everyone differently, but we can all take steps to help protect ourselves and the people around us:

  • Ask about your Flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines.
  • Wear a mask if you’re experiencing respiratory symptoms.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Stay home when you’re sick, whenever possible, so that you can prevent spreading illness.
  • Talk with your healthcare provider if you have questions about respiratory illnesses, vaccines, or your personal risk.

At Lower Lights Health, our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable, whole-person healthcare for all. That means supporting your health not only when you’re sick, but also helping you take steps to stay healthy.

This respiratory season, protect yourself. Protect your loved ones. Protect our community. Talk with your Lower Lights care team about Flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccination today!

Vaccine recommendations and eligibility can vary based on age, health conditions, pregnancy, and other individual factors. Talk with your healthcare provider about what is right for you.
