Lower Lights Health Earns National Recognition for Excellence in Heart Health
Lower Lights Health can proudly announce that we have achieved Silver+ recognition as part of the 2025 Target: BP initiative, a joint program of the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Medical Association (AMA).
This national award honors our team’s dedication to improving heart health by accurately measuring, rapidly responding to, and effectively managing high blood pressure across our patient population. The Target: BP Silver+ Award celebrates organizations that have implemented evidence-based strategies in at least two key pillars: Measure Accurately & Act Rapidly.
Building Heart Health and Community Health
Every day, our clinicians, nurses, and care teams work hand-in-hand with patients to manage blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, two of the leading causes of death in the United States. Through personalized care, health education, and dedicated follow-up, our teams empower patients to take charge of their health and lead longer, more active lives.
This recognition is more than a milestone, it’s a reflection of our mission to provide whole-person, affordable, high-quality healthcare that strengthens individuals and communities across Central Ohio.
Recognized Nationally, Impacting Locally
As part of this achievement, Lower Lights Health will be:
-
Recognized at national AHA conferences
-
Featured on the Target: BP website and in a joint AHA/AMA national press release
-
Highlighted through an official digital award seal and certificate, which we are already displaying on our homepage!
The AHA and AMA also presented this certificate to our team in person at the health center earlier this week!
Additional Recognition: Cholesterol and Diabetes Management
In addition to this Silver+ distinction, Lower Lights Health was also recognized for Gold-level achievement in the Check. Change. Control. Cholesterol program and for excellence in the Target: Type 2 Diabetes initiative. These honors reflect our team’s comprehensive approach to managing chronic conditions and improving overall wellness through prevention, education, and long-term care.
A Healthier Central Ohio, One Heartbeat at a Time
Again, we are deeply honored to be recognized by the AHA and AMA for our work in improving cardiovascular health in our community. But the true reward lies in the lives changed, the patients who feel better, the families who worry less, and the communities that grow stronger through better health.
To every member of our providers and staff: thank you for your expertise, your compassion, and your relentless commitment to our mission.
Together, we’re building a healthier Central Ohio—one heartbeat at a time.
