Students – Clinical Rotations and Internships
Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC) offers clinical rotations for medical residents and medical, nurse practitioner, pharmacy and social work students with preference given to those who have a desire to practice in a Medically Underserved area. One-on-one supervision is given with opportunities to work to your highest capacity while serving a population in need of quality care. Complete the Request for Rotation form and return it to Dr. Ann Schiele. LLCHC can also help provide housing for students if needed.
LLCHC receives a number of requests for rotations throughout the year. Because of this, requests for placement that are made with less than three months in advance will not be given consideration.
In addition to clinical rotations, LLCHC offers internship opportunities to students interested in serving in an urban health care and/or nonprofit environment. Internship opportunities range from two to six weeks, and are available in a variety of areas within our organization. Our internships are unpaid, but applicants can apply with their college/university to receive school credit. LLCHC will provide housing and travel stipends.
